My son worked with Sam over the summer to prep for the fall test date/s. There was a lot of work involved, but Sam got him where he wanted to be. He improved his English score by 130 and his math score by 110; he was able to move from a 1260 to a 1480 super score. Sam tutored me in math for the SAT when I was a junior in high school. I raised my math score by 140 points, and ended up being accepted into Cornell University where I am studying Information Science.
Sam was patient and very clear in his explanation of the topics to me. He had a very good system to initially test my strengths and weaknesses so that we could study most efficiently. As important as being good at math is for the SAT, everyone knows that the SAT is a test on taking tests. At this Sam excelled as a teacher, he knew the ins and outs of the exam format and gave me strong time management tools and tricks that allowed me to maximize the points I received on each section.
